Being "Burger"

School's Out!

Finally! All that's left are Exam's, but they shouldn't be too bad. I've had a lot of stuff going on this past week. Last weekend was Relay-for-Life, which was fun. On Sunday, Ben Burger surprised my Mom & came home for Mother's Day. When he got here, my mom was giving our dog Blackjack a bath, so Ben & I just sat in the living room & were casually watching TV when she came in. She cried. Anyway, Ben found out he made All "A's", so that's cool! Mike's Exam's didn't end 'till last Tuesday. Well, the last week of regular school was okay. Nothing over exciting happened, with the exception of the Senior Pranks, but they were okay. Thursday was our Spring Game in Hartselle, so I rode with the Football team down & back (in case you didn't know, I'm the photographer & webmaster for Huntsville High Football.). It was a close game; we lost 16-19. Everybody wanted to win, especially because it was an away game, & it would be a long ride back if we lost. But it was even longer than we thought. Right after we made the turn onto I-565, bus 1, the one I was on, had a malfunction. He pulled off to the side of the road, along with the other 2 busses, & went to see what was wrong. It ended up that a water hose was broken, so we had to all fit on the second & third busses. Besides that, it was a good experience. Hopefully next year will be better! Well, got Church today, so I'll be tied up for a while. And, by the way, I finally found my Cell Phone! It ends up that it had fallen off of the headboard on my bed, which is where I place all my stuff at the end of the day. So now if you call, I'll answer!
Until later,
JLB

More Work

Hey. What's up? Well, "The Outsiders" is finished and it all went good! It was a fun time! Especially that cast party Saturday night (or should I say Sunday morning). Anyway, tonight I had to work the ROTC banquet in the Auditorium, mainly because I'm the only one of us who can tolerate Col. Bennent. But Mr. Chappell is fully aware of the situation, so it's all good! Tomorrow at school I'll be working a One Act called "Graceland" that is being performed by 2 students. So, I'll get out of 3rd, 4th, 6th, & 7th Periods to work it. NICE! Tomorrow afternoon I'll be tutoring a student in Geometry, probably in the Auditorium. It's a good thing I don't have Handbells tomorrow night! Anyway, I have Relay-for-Life this Friday night-Saturday morning and I need to start collecting more money for it. If anyone is interested in giving a donation, get in touch with me by Thursday! Every little bit helps!!! We'll, I'm going to bed. Good-night!

Zzzz...

Hey,
I haven't been getting enough sleep lately, as you can tell from the time of this post. I had to stay longer after rehearsal tonight (technically last night) to help out with focusing the lights. So far, the show is about 1 hour 26 minutes. I say about because Mr. Chappell stopped a little in Act I to re-run a scene. We should have the lights done for tomorrow night, if Justin C. would get to work programming the show. :) Anyway, I think we'll be ready (I hope we're ready). It will be a fun show. Last night (Monday night) Mr. Chappell moved the end of Act I about 13 pages further, considering the script didn't have pre-designed Scenes or Acts; it is just all together. But this change was actually a good one. Anyway, Matt S. couldn't be here today (because he's in Auburn) so his 'assistant' Bobby John L. was here & 'moved in' their equipment. They are actually going to use our sound board! I guess because it's not worth bringing in Matt's HUGE board to run just 15 wireless mics which, by the way, are also Matt's, because we only have 2! Anyway, it'll be "fun" tomorrow. Good-night!

Busy week Ahead!

Sorry. I've been really tired lately because I'm not getting enough sleep. Tonight starts 'Tech Week' for "The Outsiders" @ HHS. Be sure to come see it this Friday & Saturday (April 29 & 30). Tickets are $5 for all (teachers free w/ID). I'm only an extra on-stage, but back-stage I'm the Technical Director. So anyway, it might be a while 'till I report back again.

Hello

This is basically just to see it work. I'll write a real entry tomorrow.
